Just wanna thank Dharma, Willy and Feather for blooding me in on my first co-op play through.

You could tell I was the newb as when the first round ended, everyone had taken only 2 or 3 health damage whereas I had taken 55!!!

You guys saved my arse a load of times as well. I am forever indebted (in the L4D world anyway!!)

Does anyone know if there is anyway I can keep my mic open while playing?

I'd really be afraid that the rest of my team will miss out on my screams when I forget to press the v button

Yeh

Bind v to a mouse macro so that u press it once to turn on and again 2 turn off

Paste the following into an autoexec.cfg file in your
Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead demo\left4dead\cfg\autoexec.cfg

alias "talktoggle" "talkon"
alias "talkon" "+voicerecord; alias talktoggle talkoff"
alias "talkoff" "-voicerecord; alias talktoggle talkon"

bind "V" talktoggle

L4D recording is exactly the same as TF2. Use the console and type "record (filename)" and away it goes.

Use "demoui2" to get an in game player up so you can watch and review the panic. It doesn't record your game voice but it does record everyone else's. From that you could use FRAPS to capture to AVI and compress to upload to a website.

I've been trying but I'm plagued with crashes 30secs to 2 mins in the recorded track
