I don’t still don’t think this is server related though Del I still think its Valve related. Jase was complaining of lag and jonnywhy but no one else?? to be server side it needs to be all 32 players saying "LAG" not one or 2??...

Doesnt mean we can't do all we can to minimize it
I've a couple of settings that I am gonna change that may make matters worse, but hopefully better
should take effect w/ next server restart(or crash!!)

I know this thread is old, but thought i'd add something possibly overlooked.
Max_fps 40/50/60 can help. Just stops your puter tryin to overachieve. Which should make the drops in fps less severe. ie: 120fps 18fps or with max_fps 60 set: 60fps 23fps.
May be a small gain for some, but "every little helps" ooh i feel dirty
