True, tho when I last played this map teamwork was severly lacking, and even with an uber I could'nt take the gun down as the engie behind was banging his wrench the whole time. Solly perhaps not the best way to take it down

now here's my view on the new maplist. first of all: badlands, 2fort, timberfest, dbheights, chaos, mach4, badwarter, goldrush, granary, turbine and paperclip I have nothing against. I don't like all maps equally but they are balanced and allow for nice play even when the server is on 32 players. the remaining maps:

dom_canalzone - this map is completely random. 8!!! CP's with no link whatsoever. i'd rather have a Deathmatch map like for example dm_store or duel_store. also canalzone is just not modeled as a TF2 map which makes it stick out like a sore thumb between all these other beautiful maps.

avanti_b1 - used to be great. now everyone knows how it works so it's demo's+engy's on red and snipers+demo's on blue. one big spamfest. I suggest switching it with the new (TF2 style) avanti map: http://forums.tf2maps.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=719" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . i'm probably gonna get raged at by everyone for wanting to switch away avanti for a newer nicer version but wth. check it out plz.

ctf_snofort_final - this being a christmas map I hope it's only here for the holidays.


What we're missing on festers (in my honest opinion):

pl_hoodoo_b5; I played this map for 9v9 semi-finals first time and it's an absolute blast. very big map but very balanced with nicely built chokepoints. multiple passage ways and lots of sentry spots which you all love so much :)

cp_fastlane / cp_freight; similar maps. both 5 CP maps with opposite spawns. but have no setup time. brilliantly made custom maps where stalemates are hard to come across.

P.S. I'd also like to bring TF2Turbo into this. it's a great mod which has been around for a few months now. pyro's can fly on flames. everyone can achieve equall speed by pressing and holding spacebar (bunnyhopping). if you holy admins are interested in running this on festers for like once or twice a week that would be great. I think it opens up a whole new level of gameplay while keeping the 1v1 battles and main idea of the game identical to the original. + and this is a major +, the mod is easily installable and can be turned on or off by the touch of a button. also you do not have to download anything from server to make this mod work!

Wauw is that Jonni not making any fun of ctf_2fort or pyro's.

p.s. let's tryout TF2Turbo on my server soon. it's especially great for when the servers a bit low on players but works perfectly for when the server is full.
