festersplace.com
I do web design professionally and let me tell you festersplace.com portal/website looks FRIGGIN AWESOME - great design, very usable, clear, and uncluttered. Great job guys, this ranks high among the best websites I have ever come across and is the best tf2 site I have seen so far.
I few suggestions and stuff:
Put the server IP somewhere? In the banner maybe or you have all of the blank space to the left of the search bar. If you have Ventrillo (I hear rumors...), you could slap that up there as well.
Addition: I believe Anon is a game admin?
Lastly, I see a pic from the fester's fest - where are the rest!?! omg omg omg ....
U guys are teh awesomes man let me tell u hey listen ey lisken lisken ey lisken u guys r teh aweskomes =D

Thanks Xexes. There's been alot of appreciation for it and it's all good. Been enjoyable to work on it and see it go live
.
I'll try and pop up something to cover a little "white" space above the banner. I have tried something but it doesn't quite fit. Watch this space
.
As for Ventrilo it's just a rumour

Seriously though, I don't think so, unless I missed something

Re: festersplace.com
Who needs ventrillo when you have an all talk server!!!!
Re: festersplace.com
Tweak the galleries/wallpaper section a little.
Thanks to Advent for being busy with uploading images.
You can have a look here: http://www.festersplace.com/web/wallpapers
Click on a thumbnail to enter that section.
A slideshow will automatically start. You can look through the thumbnails by click the Next or Prev buttons (Left and right hand side of the image) or Open the image in full (by clicking the ligthbulb in the middle). If you wish to quickly see all the picture then click on "pictures" (top right ahnd side of the slideshow) this will drop down a thumbnail carousel.
The big image pops up on a blank template page so it looks pretty naff. I will make a new template to hold this one.
The images have a max size of 1280 wide. Sometimes the image shown in the slide show is pretty naff but you can see what the full image is via the thumbnail carousel.
I don't know why but I think it looks a little better than the slimbox open and it also allows for large images to be show on a different page.
Enjoy!

Re: festersplace.com
Slimbox and even large image, are party seethruh technology
(alpha is not 1) so you can see background of page which is a littlebit iritating and partly destroying the nice of the pictures..
And the background pictures should be there, we wanr to be the only one to have them you now
Edit: And maybe put the country flags infront of peoples story so you see that everyone is a fester no country is bullyd out^^

Re: festersplace.com
Ok.. here's what happens with the gallery.
You look at a gallery: http://www.festersplace.com/web/advents-screens and you see a nice slideshow of the images along with some next and prev buttons and a drop down to give you a nice sliding carousel of what is in there.
When you click on the middle of the image you are redirect to the picture viewing template which is caompletely opaque and has no background. It shows you the picture you selected along with Next and Previous links.
You can click the image again to actually bring up the original sized picture.
For instance. If I upload a picture that is 1680 x 1050 in size. The program automatically downsizes it for the slide show gallery at 1280 x 800. You see the 1280 version on the first click and then you are shown the 1680 version on the next click.
I may change the size of the middle pictuer to 1024 or similar to make it a little easier for those with small monitors

Re: festersplace.com
Here's an update.
The galleries have now been set to a max size of 800 px wide. Any images greater than this can still be uploaded and retain for viewing or downloading.
Basically. If you view someones gallery an enlarge the first picture you get an image 800 px wide.
I have added a text box above the gallery so you can copy and paste it into a forum post (if you wish).
If the image uploaded is bigger than 800 px then you can click the above image to see it's original glory:
Link to gallery: http://www.festersplace.com/web/advents-screens
Link to viewing a picture from the gallery (with forum code at the top: http://www.festersplace.com/web/picture ... =21&pic=18
Link to the full sized image originally uploaded (click the image from the above link): http://www.festersplace.com/web/assets/ ... lerock.jpg
The code above the picture is:
Giving you a perfectly sized image for posting on the boards:
