With my 18th birthday coming up and all, I've been asking for booze.
Is it worth asking for some of this stuff?

Those store bought types will have nothing on the proper brewed at home stuff.
probably wouldnt be worth it.

My eldest brother had some real stuff on his 22nd birthday, got totally hammered, felt awful, got up next day and had some water, which recirculated the alcohol in his system and was drunk again, took him about 3-4 days to recover, and has not touched it again, he is now 40+
I would go with Bosco's advice of the whiskey

That would really depend on whether he intends enjoying the whiskey or the alcohol
