Should I leave L4D.. for dead?

Right i never got round to purchasing l4d, and just went on the store to see how much it was etc. and i see l4d 2 is out 17th Nov..
So is there really any point buying the original @ £24.99? i'm thinking not.
what do YOU think??

I'd say not if you are seriously thinking about getting l4d2. It would also be worth waiting to see what people say about l4d2 especially if they already own l4d.

good advice from BBloke. I would think L4D will drop in price after the release of L4D2 anyway, so if you faniced playing it (it is still really good) you could get it cheaper by waiting a bit.

I got L4D off an amazon seller for £7.49 brand new and legit.
Im glad i only paid this for it cos i hardly play it but i can understand why kids like it.

id say wait till the combo pack with both games comes out which i would assume would be just before or just after xmas

Cheers sound advice all round.
I'm gonna trawl amazon n am checking that link out from SmokeDef..
On the whole im suprised they've development this 'new' game within a year of the last.
Obviously its a pure money spinner but that leaves me thinking, is l4d2 gonna be that different? Or was this the plan all along and they orginally and purposefully left a lot of elements out of the original?
Either way, unless i can get it mad cheap before l4d2 comes out ill prolly wait for the combo pack around xmas time.
Any heard/seen and news leading upto this release, screens or anything?

theres alot of ppl pissed off aboot how fast l4d2 is being launched, personaly i dont intend to get the new game as i can see l4d3 out a year after, once more valve pulled a good chunk of there crew off tf2 for the game which means class updates will be even slower in coming out
