Question - My Steam

Hello 
When I am playing TF2 every so often my weapons return to the normal standard ones and when i go on my class loudout it says that steam connect has failed and it will retry as soon as possible.
I carry on playing but after half an hour it says that it has still not got them back, this is really annoying if i am using certain weapons for certain reasons, anyone got a solution or tips on how to stop this problem?
