Timeout on mapchange - partial fix/workaround

While we wait forever for a fix, I've come up w/ a workround..but to avail of it you gotta do something!
What I have done -
Changed the timeout period for our server checker
Changed the client-server inactivity period
This means that the server will sit for longer without restarting itself, so when it does go down due to crash, it'll take longer to come back...but the upshot of this is that the longer than 30sec timeouts wont cause the server to reset, instead it just waits.
What you have to do -
in the console, type
this will tell your client not to disconnect for 60 seconds.
All you have to do then is find 30seconds of additional patience before steam msging admins with "server down??"
we'll see how it goes...

yip it can, but it only needs to be done once I think. it saves it to your default config. to be safe you can add it to your autoexec tho

subject: [hlds] Team Fortress 2 Update Coming Next Week
There is still some work going into the next update for Team Fortress 2. We were hoping to have this out this week, but with the extra testing we need to do, the update has been pushed back to early next week. This update will include the timeout fix during map change.

zo, timeout fix coming!! Finally!
whether this update is the scout update or just a bugfix update I dont know. I'd guess the latter, cos there is normally some info on the major updates; achievements, unlockables etc
Still, I'd rather timeout fix over scout update

Because Del, like any of us, would prefer to sit back and moan about it! Else what else would he moan about?
