Coming from a kid in a techno CGI age.. thats the lamest thing I've read. There are few films out that dont have some augmentation or CGI inclusions as for too much.... if it's done well enough, which Transformers excelled at then it can never be too much.

If a film has "too much" CGI then the film itself is below par and most certainly ceap. A blockbuster such as Transformers was a well done film with near seemless CGI which just adds to the entertainment and immersion that is a trip to the movies.

Gotta say it sounds awesome on 5.1 headphones with the vibrating phone pads. Ranks up there with Saving Ryans Privates on Omaha beach :)

In fairness Hobbit, in a film about Giant robots that transform into thing, what would you prefer they use? Claymation?

I've enjoyed Next Generation stuff but those movies seem to lack a decent storyline but they were far from crap.

It'll be nice to see what they'll do with the next movie though :). I've tended to be a Babylon5 fan especially as the series drew to a close. The shadow wars were a well written set of episodes by one writing.

Long live Sci-Fi.

I agree with you totally there Bbloke.
Babylon5, while the sets looked completely cheap ass, was an excellently written show, and especially the Shadow War!

The Next Generation films were a bit pants alright, with the exception of First Contact, which I think is easily in the top 3 Star Trek films of all time.

What's interesting about this new film is that they've essentially gone back and rewritten the history of the entire Star Trek universe, and done it legitimately, but saying that someone went back from the future and changed EVERYTHING!!!

I'm looking forward to it, but it's going to be very difficult to believe that punk kid as Captain Kirk. all the others I'm fine with, I just hope New Kirk can deliver!
