seen a link on the stream update news bout a film short dont by some canadians based on half life 2 chapters

Yeah I watched this the other day - well worth a look. If any computer game franchise could actually be made into a decent film / films I reckon HL could do it

I'd be thinking more along the lines of Peter Jackson (he should be up to speed after Halo and after The Hobbit is out of the way), James Cameron, John Carpenter, David Fincher...

I've always wondered why no-ones made a film about Freeman and the half life story. IMO its got everything and needs to be done.
That clips pretty cool and i hope the Purchase brothers keep at it, bring on the film!!

If you made a film starring freeman the script writers would have it easy! He no speaky and all that!
I like the idea of this. Fomr a bunch of survivors point of view. Maybe seeing freeman as he passes through a checkpoint or something.

i wouldnt mind seein something from g-mans POV as he manipulates freeman , that and seein xen on the big screen would be interesting

Valve have expressly said a few times they were not interested using the half life universe in a movie format, they say it's specifically about the game experience and it will stay that way.
