The Avengers

Don't know if i am the only comicbook freak in the whole community or if there are secretly more out there...
Just wanted to let you guys know whats coming.
Most of you may be aware of the movies 'Ironman', 'Ironman 2' and maybe even 'The Incredible Hulk', but its possible that you don't know that all these movies, and some to come, are all leading up to an epic combinement of all these Marvel characters when they team up as 'The Avengers'.
The origanal Avengers from the early comics consist of Captain America, Thor, Ironman, The Hulk, Antman & The Wasp. Later, this group is alot bigger with a lot more heroes.
The most iconic 3 of this team are Ironman, Thor & Captain America. These 3 all get (ironman allready has 2) their separate movies, before the avengers assemble.
'Thor' is in post-production now and will come out in May 2011. The film will star Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Jamie Alexander and Anthony Hopkins with Kenneth Branagh directing.
'Captain America: The First Avenger' has just began shooting 2 weeks ago and will be in theaters Juy 2011. The film will star Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan and Haylay Atwell with Joe Johnston directing.
I personally am massively looking forward to each and everyone of these films, but of course, the icing on the cake will be 'The Avengers' movie coming out in 2012.
Last weekend (23rd July / 25th July) was the anual Comic-Con in San Diego. There something spontanious happend, what was a massive nerd-gasm for all marvel-fans over the globe. The majority of the cast for 'The Avengers' first assembled on stage!!!
