Hhmm looks cool but building little robots and detectors like that with something like
http://www.arduino.cc/ would be cooler although quite a bit harder even if arduino is relatively high level electronics.
...or maybe I've just spent too long writing data analysis programs and want to see my code doing more than opening an image, doing some statistical shit to it and closing it again...

Oh yeah, slap some optocouplers or relays on that thing and give er! But maybe you should reorient a bit more towards the hardware-near programming and industrial automation if you really want to move things, Flint ^^

....the electronics i was taught in physics is slowly coming back to me. I don't really have the time at the minute to invest in yet another geekish interest.....so maybe those blocks aren't a bad idea
