That is the strangest use of the Richter scale I've ever come across. And a 2.5 earth quake is generally unnoticeable and happens on a daily basis around the world.....or was he referring to the shaking of the ground the noise of that thing makes, I wonder, rather than the acceleration...hhmm too much proof reading makes flynnstone a pedantic git....

But on the other hand that looks crazy......

Looking further down this wiki article, there is a comparison between Richter Level & TNT! The Richter level of 2.5 which the dragster creates is actually quite high, as the centre of the epicentre is Very Local ie in the race tracks immediate vicinity, hence the TNT comparison looks ideal:-

Not Really. I don't rely on wiki as the ultimate reference, but it is useful as a library of collated information (from various sources and genuine factual links) to point others to for reference when on the internet.
