Re: i Want one
I'm sure I read a review in PC Gamer or PC Format that said it was money down the drain for no noticeable difference - you might get 2-3 fps if your lucky, but thats about it
Re: i Want one
absomothafuckinlutely!
all it can ever achieve is to a) prioritize the packets between your pc and your router, anything upstream of that is beyond your control, regardless of QoS settings and whatnot and b) offload the work of the networking stack, gaining you a couple of frames if yer lucky
if you are torrenting while gaming for example, you might see some benefit..but if you are torrenting while gaming, you are an idiot!
they tried again w/ a cut down model w/ lower price and no spankity heatsink
money would be better spent on a gfx upgrade, a cpu upgrade or a dsl line upgrade imo

Re: i Want one
in that case, add to the cost of it a sidewindow for your case, if you dont have, and a mirror that can be positioned just-so in order for it to be seen. And maybe some ccfl backlighting
or fuckit, a webcam inside the case aimed at the card and a nice wee drive bay monitor so you can admire it and impress your friends (and the chicks, the chicks dig it)

Well that fantastic card would be complete only with a proper Denon Link Cable instead of this cheap twisted pair cat 5 nonsense we're made to make do with.Del wrote:snake oil
Also Rallfo Enterprises R&D has just released a set of go-faster decals guaranteed to boost your in-game bogomips if you stick them on the side of your monitor (RRP $969.99).
