Never really minded them, but never really got into them - more as a result of a couple of very substandard festival shows they did. Shame really as if they could make a bit more of an effort in the live shows I reckon I would like them more. Teenage Angst, Nancy Boy and Pure Morning are still class tracks though

Never quite liked the lead vocalist but their cover of "running up that hill" was worthy enough. It managed to be picked for the end sequence of a CSI episode.

I'd forgotten about their cover of 20th Century Boy for Velvet Goldmine - that was good as well

Love placebo, back from the early angsty days of youth
Wasn't aware there was a new album, thank for linking the tracks.

From what I've heard of their new stuff, I'm quite enjoying it.
I like some of their older stuff, but yer man always seemed like a bit of a cock to me, with his whole androgengy thing. He used to go on and on about it in intewrviews, which kind of turned me off the music a bit.

Brian Molko could be a bit of a twat, but without you and black market music are great, and the band kick ass live.

I saw them live at pinkpop. I got lucky and stood at the front of the audience. They gave about... .ehm..... 4 encores
