Sometimes, I hate Steam....
Sometimes, I hate Steam....
FFS, what a div! Everytime I finished playing TF2, Windows would say "HL2.exe" has stopped responding. So I thought fek it, I'll remove and re-install steam. Well blow me down I wondered why I suddenly acquired 40Gb disk space - I never knew steam was that big. Course, it's gone and deleted all the games too. I mean, why the fcuk does it not warn you?!?!?!? Now it seems I gotta wait a day whilst they all d/l again because shitty VirginMedia start capping yer download when you've transferred do much data.
Bah! I'm bored already.

Re: Sometimes, I hate Steam....
The strange thing is though, that a lot of the bugs I am experiencing with Source based games have been there since half-life 1!
Back when I didn't have a good enough computer for TFC it used to bug quite similar to what I've seen with TF2 and L4D.
Things like:
- Crashing when alt-tabbing
- Crashing when restoring
- Crashing when switching level
- Crashing when trying to quit
- Crashing or taking forever to recover after pressing "cancel" during level-change
Or, when I still had a slower graphics card..
- Seeing shadows of ppl on the other side of the wall
- if a wall is far away, seeing pieces of ppl standing right next to it on the other side (great way to cheat in sniper duals with TFC)

I mean, it's all windy stairs. I'm not being funny.

were talking about how bad steam can be i have problems getting onto steam games at the moment due to my graphics card being to good apparantley and my average resolution isnt the same as steam expects and it means all games cant be luanched properly.
