I'm sorry but it's just not attractive on a male.
No offense Advent.
Not sure though how many females share my opinions.
But I will tell you that long hair does attribute to the "bad boy" personality, which attracts plenty of females looking for that sort of thing.

When i see a guy with long hair i immediately think "I can probably chat to this guy about music, or games, or books. He probably shares at least one of my interests. He is unlikely to mug me or cause me hassle. He is a good and worthy person".

Unless i am a death metal gig, then you have to be more discerning.

I want to point out that I don't find long hair attractive on males either.

Come to that, I don't find short hair attractive on males.
