Mo0nD0ggie's video I mentioned earlier, also reveals a bug that as a Spy you can see enemy Spies even if they are fully cloaked...

OK I just watched how fast the scout's new gun shoots....
And it does more damage?
A scout can kill a heavy with one bonk and two shotgun shots (or near as) when he's running head on into minigun bullets, that's such bullshit! :D

I don't like the spy downgrade for just the reasons above. Not being able to stab somebody by being on the side of them and looking at their back means you can't kill engineers and snipers who are backed against a wall. Not being able to stand on somebody's head and stab downwards means you can now not kill 99% of engineers who build a dispenser on one side.... it's stupid.

The spy is the nemesis of the engineer, that's why he has a weapon that's only effective against
engineer buildings. Every class has something that's good against it and things it's bad against. You can't suddenly remove that ability from the spy and give the ability to kill almost anything almost instantly on it's own and to be ridiculously useful in the heat of battle to a scout :(

I'm aware scouts previously had no places on defending maps and small maps usually, and the baseball means that they can now be useful to their team at stopping ubers, but it feels like there's no point in being a heavy at all now if every time you step out from a corner you're dazed and useless. Might as well be a demoman or something faster and do far more damage....

Hopefully when there's less scouts around it'll subside.... but for now I'm not a fan of this update.

You are an extremely competent heavy nova, if a scout manages to take you down then more power to him. If you see him coming he should end up a fine red mist before he gets within ten feet.

Okay, I find them to be generally more annoying then normally so I guess, from Valves point of view, they did the right thing... Now they have throwback, can run faster?? saw a hyper-scout but maybe I was just drunk, he was all blurry and shit while running away... but the good thing is, all the gimmicks so far are no good if they can't aim, which is great for Pyros, cause then you have a bunch of torches running about just waiting to be ignited, provided you yourself have quick footing when it comes to using corners and stuff, putting that shit between you and the hardcore 1-hit (if ur unlucky) kill shotgun. (when they get greedy you pop out from cover and burn them)

One thing that is veeeery harsh though is the baseball, sure its hard to hit you, when youre in the open.. but when it hits you.. lethal against anyone, especially a heavy with med. on the other hand, I had 3 kills tonight because of the knockout, and only got screwed once because of it because I stayed too long in a narrow tunnel. (so my own fault)

guess this update seems like the rest of the classes got nerfed right off the bat, but if you adjust your playing style then the scouts can be handled.. except for the real cracks of course, but they usually own with any class, so what the hey.
I mean, it's all windy stairs. I'm not being funny.

im so sorry nova and the rest of u spys u now have to be a lil more imaginitive in ur tatics against engis boo freaking who ur now alot harder to spot and tbh i miss the old spys that stood out like a sore thumb

Since the update I've been playing my worst in a long time.

I only just unlocked the Force-a-Nature today and im not really impressed by it. I really dont like being limited to 2 shots. You have to keep running in and retreating to reload. For it to be effective you have to be up close and if you miss one of your shots you're just fucked. Maybe it works better against fewer players.
