Now that's one highly complicated and inefficient way to water down whiskey, still a nice trick.
I doubt it would work in a bar though, the attention span of your common drunkard is most likely not very high unless he is totally pissed and just stares at the bar. Then this trick might work, though I think your common drunkard will decide to pick up that upside down glass of whiskey with the intention to get behind this sorcery that's happening in front of his eyes.
