Of course the storm is hitting my area hardest-hub of it hitting the baltimore/washington area. Just heard an expected 18-24inches of snow. Cross your fingers and hope my internet stays on! This is the weather center forecast for the next few hours.

just yesterday, me mother woke me up at 4:30am (wed 16/12) [when she gets up for work] to tell me that the overnight snow was knee deep.... it was about 1/2 an inch at best

tbh tho, its not really been that bad up here in the NE even tho me aunty && uncle got stuck in london cos of the snow

I wish we'd get some proper snow, more than a few inches so people really had something to complain about. There's been 4-5inches of snow here, and I think at most 8 or 9 other places (?) yet everything comes to a hault after a tiny bit of snow. Trains breaking down, electric and gas stopped working, days worth of flights cancelled. People panicing because of a little bit of snow and rush out and crash their cars on the way to stock pile bog roll and soup.

The UK is as far north as Canada and Moscow and such, we need a bit of good snow to toughen people up and kill of some of the sick and elderly.
