Yeah, there is some constructive stuff on this forum (believe it or not 
) that'd be better off in a forum for instance xexes tf2 player guide, Mug's textures, the mapping stuff, radio fester... Quite a lot in fact.
One vote for mediawiki - setup's the usual php routine of copy into a folder, give it a database and configure. If there's some kind of reason why it won't run on the server, could run it on mine and point a subdomain at it.
Hacking the authentication plugin so it'll work with the forum usernames shouldn't be too challenging either!
