Incredibly annoying error every time i connect to a TF2 server
The game loads up to 100% after "Sending client info" but the crashes giving this error, including a ridiculously long URL that i'm too lazy to type into a browser (that i doubt would even be remotely helpful anyway)
The only way i can connect is by restarting the computer and loading TF2 up immediately, its highly frustrating.
I'm using the following spec PC:
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.2GHz
Memory:
3gb RAM
GFX Card: Radeon X1950 Pro 256mb
Seriously, With 3gb ram there is no way my PC should be spazzing out like this.
I'm currently messing around in my registry to try and hack my paged memory, but i just want to know if anyone else has encountered this?
Sorry for the EPICLY HUGE image

it stoped after he got more memory.
I have 3 gig ram, more memory isn't possible without switching to vista/64bit XP..
Also that isn't vista, its XP with a snazzy Vista-like skin.
Seem to have fixed it anyway, i arsed about with registry settings and increased my pool mem size, lets see if it holds out.

I've never had a problem playing TF2 wit Vista
Although HL2.exe crashes every time I exit, tho it's not 2 much of a problem - I just click 'close program'!

Hellstar I didn't know any vista theme programs allowed the start menu icon to flow over the top of the start bar?
And the limit isn't always 3gb, depending on your motherboard. For instance my memory is limited at 3581mb on 32bit vista.
And I'm pretty certain there's a control panel setting to adjust that without having to fiddle with regedit....
If the problem continues however, let us know.

tis. try and address that memory. it might report more as being there, but it cannot be used. 32bit Vista has an addressable memory limit of 3.12gb. But the man says it's not vista, so it's all moot.
