My freind trying to convince me to give it a go, kinda looks like fun but also expensive.

It's like a BB gun but with a plastic projectile instead of a metal BB. Airsoft is also sort of a "sport" with elimination leagues, etc. Airsoft (Wikipedia)

Hey so airsoft. The biggest national airsoft event (in the UK) happens once a year every summer over a weekend 2 miles from my hometown (Ringwood). You get into teams, shoot each other, camp out, have bbq's, get pissed etc. Is nice.

Theres one that looks quite cool in one of the forts around Portsmouth.

Some of the underground rooms in the fort are stories high!

Never done it. I would get shot to shit. I did at paintballing the other week!

It started pissing down as we were attacking a base and tower, trying to get the flag.

I went on a massive detour to try and get round the backl of the base as everyone else attacked the front. I was sneaking along and saw a bloke lying in the bushes aiming at the base. he agve me the thumbs up so I assumed he was on my team. About 3 mins later after shooting at the base and being literlaly metres away from this bloke he realised i was on the other team and shot the shit out me!

its great fun, but some people take it way to serious.. and spend way to much €/$/£ (whatever) on the bling bling.

and yes, the bbq and beer is mandatory when you are out shooting in the bushes.
and so are the "accidents" that happen when guys get drunk with "guns" around.
i would upload a funny picture of me, if only i could find it. But its awsome, i look like shit after a weekend out in the bushes. Sunburnet as hell, and my face was swollen (?). Couldn't even see my right eye... or was it the left. meh, who cares, it was fun.

well "the mall" which is reviewed as the best indoor airsoft venue is just 25min away, and they are holding a Zombie special early next year, so I AM goin to that.

Air-soft... as in soft-gun or as a flying machine`?
