How do magnets work?

Bluebread is asking this question a lot for the last time so I try to explain it:
First thing you got to know is that there are a few ferromagnetic elements like iron, cobalt and nickel or elemets combined out of these three can be magnetized. If you would cut these elements as much as you can you would get elementary particles with the same effect.Every of these elementary particles consits of miuns and plus poles .
Now each of these elements alone is not magnetized so so the elementary particles are unorganized but if you hold an other element close they will organize, so that every pole will point in the same direction to create a magnetic field. This field can organize any elementary particle in its reach.
Basically you can understand a magnet as a man who can convince other people to do the same. the stronger this man is the more people he can convince to his opportunity.
