Laggy ?

Is it only me or others also experiencing heavy lag when playing on (nearly) full server ?
My ping is ok , and my connection is fine too.

monday i had 3 major laggs first ever on festers including old server ... dunno why tho isp or comp,server side ... anyway its back to lagfree game play now

Check your cpu usage

i found my own 1.8ghz dual core to be maxed out on one core in heavy action.. but thanks to the gods and Del some over clocking has made it run sweeter than sugar.

Hm yeah, might be...I know there is a setting to benefit from dual-cores in TF2,but last time I tried that my pc didnt like it

That's an old fix which was included in a patch some time back.

only real fix now is more power captain..... but i did hear there was some cpu fixes included in yesterdays update but cant see that wrote down anywhere.. i wouldn't believe everything i hear

i am laggy 30% of the time ^_^ but thats cause im playing from fucking America with a 1.5 Mbps internet connection

hmm, I dunno

Server fps stays in the high 100's
Server load is never over 35%
I ran a network monitor on the server for the evening, never varied by more than 1% the whole time

dunno what to say, possible that a plugin might be occasionally slowing things down
...but if only some are reporting lag, not everyone, I'd be more inclined to say client side than server side

Also in the last 2 days, steam and tf have updated themselves, there may have been background downloading going on?

Still, can't discount server oddness, so report yer problems and we'll keep an eye on things

I'm mostly fine too. Had one or two little glitches yesterday but nothing major.

havent had any probs until past few nights when suddenly,with good ping,i started getting a few hits of lag.Most people on at the time got it or some of it,think we were playing fastlane anyway it stopped soon after so maybe as del said its a background d/load thing but never had it before so mmm
