How bout surf maps?

NO FUCKING SURF MAPS!!

It's like advertising for losers.
What's yer next suggestion, make it an achievement server, cos they can be popular too?

ideas to fill server??
make some friends
invite them to play

First of all, I think Festers is pretty much filled enough everyday.
So why doing something to have more people if we have enough people who like it like it is.
Second:
Surf Maps are a Counterstrike (1.6 and Source) Concept. They need a totaly different gameplay and the classes in TF2 are not mentionend for it.

Thirdly there are very few good surf maps out there. Especialy for TF2.

For counterstrike there some good with good gameplay or some where you just have to surf very very good and have good skills, and jeah for tf2 the weapon thing is for nothing and there not enough maps out there that need skill to be surfed.

I think that we have some cracking admins on this server, who listen to their community and because of that FP is thriving. New maps are tried out, new people come along, and not just the once, the server is popular and so doesn't need to drag in the riff raff. So no putting anything on the rotation purely for popularity!

On the other hand if there is a suggestion that everyone likes and wants to try out (as frequently happens) then mention it on the forum and be secure in the knowledge that the admins (and everyone else) will take note and seriously consider it. In the cases of today, it seems most people are against Surf and Mario Kart, so let them be. If you want to play these maps then find another server to play them on, but remember to come back here for the best of times playing TF2!

Don't take it personally but your ideas are rubbish. Those map would only succeed in bringing twats who should be quarantined in Counterstrike land for an eternity. New players come and go but for the most part only the sound or silent ones come back regularly.

plus the fact, especially with the surf maps, that most of us are wrecked when we play. Surf maps would only serve to make us dizzy and feel sick. Especially Bosco when he's had a bit too much Buckie
