Are you sure about this, because I've often been certain that heavys can block my rockets if I hit them in the centre.

I thought that they should pass thru teammates, as per game dynamics, any thing that comes from a weapon of yours goes thru teammates but hurts enemies... pls record? I will try it too next time im on.

In my experience, 4 rockets is just not enough to kill a level 3 sentry being repaired by an engi. And when you're reloading rockets, the engi laughs at you as he easily repairs the sentry to make it look as good as new. Without the help of teammates, you're only chances are crits and the engi getting out of metal. Which is why the dispenser should go down first...

Btw, there was a time when I loved killing sentries as a Soldier (before level 3 dispensers were available). The engineer was pretty much vulnerable near his sentry built behind corners, and when he was dead, nothing stopped me (except for... err.. spies? :D not only them of course).

toco ur guide is gd man, u r the engy meleeer after all, and lazy ive tried to do the jumping backwards technqiue, im not too gd with it but with a bit of practice i'll master it.

No it's true, I've got fed up plenty of times after firing a crit dead cert to get several kills, only to see a team-mate dash out of nowhere and take the hit. It's darn annoying at times

Rockets etc do pass thru teamates, but only when they are right infront of you so you are not unfairly killed by a tammate suddenly crossing into teh line of fire, I'd say. At a safe distance your teammates do indeed block yer shots tho

Steam goes through all these updates making everything more "fair and balanced" but they've still got this nerfed. /rant.

Hoi! This isn't Fox News (*spit*)

It makes sense really... can you imagine the amount of spam flying thru the air were it to be otherwise? As a soldier you could almost take a sniper mentality...stand well back from the action and hold down yer win button, firing rockets into that far off choke point, knowing you will only be damaging the Bad Men, regardless of the presence of your own onrushing troops in the firing line.

...and as is well known, anything w/ that kind of sniper mentality is gay. :roll:

I was alluding to the winbutton method of playing that would be possible *were* it so; stand still, click button, zzzz.
afaik sniper shots do not pass thru teammates

Need a gay-ass sniper to confirm that tho
