That shouldn't be too much of a bother. They can leech cloak from your dispenser anyhow, so standing permanently invisible in one spot has never been an issue. As for the feign death thing that's gonna be pretty easy to predict - just eyeball the top right corner and see if ye got a kill.

From what the update says Spy's no longer need metal to recharge cloak. It's done by standing still. As for the new "dummy" spy. That only happens if you receive none critical hits. considering the engie is the highest critting class with a melee weapon the spy still stand about the same amount of chance of success and survival as pre-update, IMHO. It does an some diversity to being a cloaked spy though.

This just gives way for new arts of spying. Also, it doesn't say non-critical but non-lethal hits.
I guess you can survive certain crits and feign death but of course it won't work on a crit wrench hit.
This update seems a bit odd anyway. It is the first of its kind to alter a "secondary" or "passive" skill
instead of weapons only. The spy watch isn't something you switch on the field like you do with weapons.
I think the "dead ringer" spy watch is going to replace the sapper thus making the spy an offensive assassin.
So now I'm waiting for day 5. Wondering what else is in the box.
Another pistol ? Another knife ?
Wouldn't that be a lot of stuff alltogether ?
....maybe we don't get an alternative for the knife though this also seems not logical.

I was wrong. We will keep the sapper, probably really lose the ability to soak up the engi's metal.
I don't know what to think anymore. I want to keep my simple spy watch.
