So I have a question for you

Which of this 3 brands produces better motorcycles : Honda ,Suzuki or Yamaha ??
I've never ridden a motorcycle myself, but purely based upon my eager watchings of MotoGP over the last few years I'd have to say Yamaha. But then if Valentino Rossi was on a Honda bike then I guess the answer would be Honda!

Anyone see the race on Sunday? Quality last lap between Rossi and Lorenzo.
And how about the end of the 125cc race? Anyone see this?! Priceless :D http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsp ... 099343.stm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I used to ride a Houngdou 125HD. It was a cheap chinese replica of a Honda CB125. It was made of monkey metal and was only lasted a year!! On one occasion the boltss holding the chain sprockets into the hub if the wheel actually sheered off at the heads!!

It was a piece of shit but did me for a year!!

One of my mates at work rides a Honda CB1300 at it goes like shit off a shovel!!

I´m looking at 250cc models which are the hardest to come by, I ´ll be taking my motorcyle license soon.

Already have one that only lets me drive 50cc. (and a 2-stroke vespa lx 50)

And I am looking at this bike:

Image

V-twin engine at 90º disc brakes front and rear liquid cooled and does not spend a lot of gas

the only bad thing is that comes close to the price of a honda Hornet cb 600

and I´ve been looking at other brands and haven´t seen nothing alike. the closest thing I saw was the kawasaki ninja 250 which basicaly has same price

Cheers

I dont wan´t to make a seperate thread because I might buy a bike next month or next year you see...

This post will probably not be useful but I have a 49cc puch maxi moped that I got from a job with spare wheels and a spare engine. Its a proper moped with pedals to charge it up. None of this electric start stuff, the foot stand acts as kindof the middle bit of a see saw. To start the engine you have to put the stand up, get on, then tilt forwards to get some momentum whilst pedalling. Awesome.

Its not road legal though as the tax disk expired 21 years ago.

50cc pays taxes ? here we only pay taxes on bikes with 160cc or bigger engines

As far as I know less than 50cc doesn't even require a motorbike license, you can drive it when you're 16

Here we have to do exams to drive one.

And then for the drivers license you have to make exams again driving and "laws of the road" book ( I dont remember what is called), then for the motorcycle you just need to do the driving exam I think

You have to do a thing called a CBT to ride up to a 125cc bike over here.

Its a piece of piss though, only a complete idiot would fail it. i had never riden a motorbike in my life and I went from complete noob to road legal in 1 and a half hours!

ride a figure of eight, practice a junction. Then do it on the road infront of an instructor and do a turn in the road without putting your feet down. Very easy!!

Brilliant!

Anyone got any thoughts on the Isle of Man TT racing using purely electric bikes that are virtually silent?
