First "Faction Packs" and now this. Bleh.
Call me crazy, but the more and more I look at Starcraft II, the less appealing it gets :'<
And Korea are gonna be shitting thunderous bolts of hatred upon Blizzard. Not to say it won't sell more than any other RTS in the last decade.

Please its a game thats taking far to long to come out and theres nothing new with the whole cutting important things out of a game, hell Blizzard stole EA's book on being corporate bastards, they'll probably do a crap expansion that will sell because it include Lan capabilities.
I'm just waiting on them to start ripping apart the next Diablo game which is the only thing ill buy from Blizzard these days, sort of like Tiger Woods games for EA.

But, but, LAN Starcraft is an old passtime of mine!

Re: Starcraft II to not feature LAN support
That's a bit sad. Starcraft was a great LAN game.
I remember that it was possible to create LAN Multiplayer only installations. Those where tied to a particular key and couldn't host matches, however, allowed you get a game going with just 1 copy.

First of all, you're the last person to be judgemental of bad decisions due to smoking certain substances.
Secondly, I bet all the SC geekoids will whip up a LAN mod in no time. You'd be surprised how many times Blizzard has taken player-created content and jammed it into its games. Speaking mostly for WoW here, they pretty much took every popular add-on and made it into a crappy built-in function. So fear not, LANs will be had, one way or another.

yea but not when a game is concerned, i mean come on, that and blizz isnt known for allowing 3rd party mods, i think WoW was the first that and they will most likly have all there online play done thru battlenet which is notorius for being exploited

It was probably the same stuff they smoked to believe that they could dictate the price of the consoles, aswell as gaining large egosToco wrote:i wonder wtf they were smoking to make them think that this was a good idea, thats gonna be devistating for cyber cafes, i remember many days of highschool where me and a dozen other geeks would cut class all day and go have a lil lan party at cyber cafe, great fun
