Saw this yesterday. What were these developers thinking? Theres just too many similarities. The music, the art style, similar classes (speedy class with baseball bat?). Even their "demoman" character has one eye.

Despite all that it kinda looks like a fun game

For fuck's sake. People watch Bugs Bunny but don't all dress up as Elma Fudd and all themselves Bob-fudd and Mary-Bugs and have dedicated forums and write "whats up doc" all over the internet, so why do these people have to go around calling themselves anime names (x-chan - and yes, I know the meaning of the word, but the reason why you'd prefer to be of a completely different ethnic denomination than your own because you like their drawings eludes me). The writer of this post better be joking as my urge to kill is rapidly rising! I've written three rants on this subject in this same post but deleted them because they were too long! I am fine with people watching anime or reading manga or doing anything that they like but holy fuck people like this make me so goddamn angry! Seriously, we need a fanboy/fangirl re-education center... involving pain. Lots of pain.

Annoyed with obsessive fans calling themselves John-chan or reciting bits and pieces like KAWAII (cute) or BAKA (idiot) I'd imagine is what Nova was going after.

My own slice of it:
Some people just take to Japanese culture like a fly to a (mostly) perfectly fine Sandvich
That's not to say I don't enjoy Japanese culture myself, just some people like to take these things to a whole new level. An unhealthy and escapisim form of obsession. I don't mind people watching Anime and such but if you're going to really become obsessed over it, I'd prefer for people to keep it to themselves. Not dance about as you're favorite character from Naruto saying slurred Japanese words you don't properly understand, and then post it online...

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Call me a fascist or whatnot, but I just despise people who attempt to be something they are really, really not.
