Google [Chrome] Mini-OS on the way 2010

Post by oldmeme » Wed Jul 08, 2009 2:45 pm

It's going to be mainly targeted at Netbooks and low power machines, but the idea is nice. I love me some Chrome Browser at the minute, and looking forward to this.

EDIT: More info here!

From what I read it's going to be a bit of a waste of time for gamers as all applicatrions run through the web browser (and of course hosted by Google's mega servers). However, if that browser gaming thing takes off it would make a cheapo laptop a worthwhile investment...

Yes.. It's quite interesting.

I'm planning to buy Asus EEE 1000HE.

In goes Win7 or Ubuntu, dunno yet. But when this bastard comes out, I will give it a spin!

Are MS still doing the netbook app restriction of 3 concurrent programs?

Gotta agree with you Nova. I couldn't leave a full desktop system. Only because the older I get the bigger things need to be to be seen!!!!

I read somewhere that they have removed that restriction. It would have been a really stupid one, although apparently they are still saying the netbook version will only be available on machines with 10 inch screens or less.
Who's this Bloke guy?
