I dunno shit bout video editing, but i need help to. I've made some pretty nice kills over the time, but i dont have the skill to make it into a video. My question is: could one of you guys help me create a fragvid?

VirtualDub is a great program and should be a must have.

Fraps
VirtualDub
XViD or DiVX
Lame MP3

or the minimal you need and you could do a quick edited movie with it with out transition.

Windows Movie Maker, PowerDirector and Nero Vision (Express) are the base line run of the mill clip after clip with transitions in between and a single audio progs.

A must check website is http://www.doom9.net. It covers everything you need and amy need and a wealth more to boot.

I know PowerDirector and Nero Vision are mainly for generating DVD images but there is nothing stopping you using a free program to reconvert those home made DVD's to AVI files for uplaoding to YouTube or such.

How about Pinnacle or Ulead?
Both are great programs to work with,
adobe premier is good, but damn.
It's hard.
And you need a beginner one,
so try messing around with the above two.

I've taken your suggestion Willy and got myself magix (legally), and am having fun with it.
Well, for a given value of fun. Took me two hours ot figure out how to split clips, but i'm progressing more rapidly now

Looks like i'll be pouring a bit of time into this, but here's hoping it pays off with some decent vids of Festers.

*edit* Huzzah! It may only be 9 seconds long, poorly edited and rough around the edges but the visual quality is decent and the music is audible, VICTORY!
