Which basically turns the Soldier into another version of Sniper. Why don't you just give him the Huntsman? Oh wait, it's actually better than the Huntsman, coz you don't need to charge and stand still, which is a sign of needing to nerf down this new weapon. Why? Because:the Direct Hit has a 70% smaller blast radius than a traditional rocket launcher. But the rockets that come out of this thing move fast and hit hard: 80% faster and with 25% more destructive force
Engineer: your sentry is in greater trouble now.
Scout: 1 shot and you're dead.
Pyro: reflecting a direct hit rocket is like reflecting an arrow.
Heavy: enjoy dying faster by having a lot of direct rocket hits.
Sniper: who needs Spies now when Soldiers can easily take you down?
Demoman: go back to door camping if you want to live.
Medic: bye bye ubercharge.
The only class that benefits from the new weapon is the Spy (less splash damage).
I think people are really underestimating the value of splash damage.
And as I commented the new Demo toys before, now the Soldier one just adds to my complete disappointment in the game...
