You could have 10 million health for all I care, you'd still die in one hit ;D

Actually though, I did notice the soldier v pyro thing a lot with the backburner, but I've recently swapped back to using the normal pyro weapon in favour of the ability to deflect rockets - far favourable than crits from behind as you often die before being able to get that close.

yea ive gone back to the basic pyro setup, the backburner is crap without the hp bonus which now makes the pyro update null and void basicly, the shotgun owns compared to flaregun, the axe is usefull only when ur got a partner pyro or ur against a complet tardand now without the hp bonus the basic flamethrower is by far supieror

I used flaregun with axe, while havin normal flamer, to make bacon out of heavys prety fast, even when they healed by medic.
So dont say theyr useless :P

even still compared to the shotgun its far from usefull, it doesnt work under water (duh) doesnt scratch an sg and against a moving target at long range u have to have really good aim or just have dumb luck

That why you have "character info and setup" and not just getin new guns that replace normal one.
New weapons dont suppose to be better than regular, they suppose to be different to involve new tactics, not changin current ballance.
You may select ur own outfit to use in current situation, with your prefered tactics.

true but whats the point of creating the new weapons if the majority of the time they arnt as usefull is what im getting at cooler, now that the hp is gone from the backburner all it does is crit from behind and it has to be like square in the center of the back thx to the previous nerf it got a few updates ago and ur more likly to get crits now with the basic flamethrower so really wuts the point of useing the backburner now? there isnt one really, u lose the airblast, u dont get an hp bonus, the region that is "behind" an enemy is soo small ur more likly to crit with ur basic flamethrower, at least the medic got 2 usefull pcs of gear and 1 not so useful, but hey keep butt fucking the pyros, while they are at it why dont they nerf the pyros speed so we move like a heavy or hell knock off another 50 hp, they alrdy made it aparent that they have no love for pyros and that they are gonna assfuck them into extintion. just u watch a month from now ill be the only pyro left, whys that casue another update will be out for one and second the pyro will be even more underpowered then he was b4 they got the update

i do know how to use em its there pratical uses are few in comparision, like the flaregun for instance, yea u can light a sniper on fire and fuck his aim up a bit, big deal ur shotgun works at med-short range effectivly, works underwater and works alot more efftectivly on run aways that are out of ur flamethrowers range

Regarding nerfs :
-> What I remember

Soldier :
- degraded crit rate of rockets (ok for me)
- less ammo (to reduce spam but can be frustrating when you are on a roll and not having the time to grab ammo from fallen enemies)
- more self-damage when firing close-range

Demoman :
- Less ammo
- pipe-bombs are only exploding on FIRST hit, not anymore on rebound hits (booo)
- more self-damage when detonations occur close range

Pyro : (note he is also classified as Offensive class in the character selection)

- increased flame damage
- the 100% guaranteed crits in the back in the backburner (and no, you dont have to be THAT precise in position to get the crits)
- already released Lame backburner ;)
- getting kill credit when an enemy kills him/herself (latest release)
- ability to deflect rockets (!) and blow away stickies/pipe bombs
- flare gun = long range igniting sniper which disrupt his stability to aim

Compare the "nerfs" with eachother...

The pyros were in the beginning underpowered, but as before the latest release, they felt overpowered.
Yeah, and I sometimes play pyro, and it is the easiest class to get kills with.
Waving with the flame, close your eyes, having a beer in one hand and see the enemies falling down.

OK, it doesn have more HP than a soldier anymore, and as much as a demoman, but they can move faster . Close up slight less damage than a heavy , but heavy is slower + spin-up time.
