Dont get a 6 setup or you lose.

The 6 screen setup is just stupid. Cant see cross hairs... duh!
Looks nice and all but ive managed so far to play games fairly ok with just 1 monitor.
I would like another monitor for normal desktop use but i don't need some fancy ati super card to do that.

As it stands I've got two (well 3 if you count a CRT, which I don't). Both are used for desktop stuff. Very handy for multitasking and comparison. One is always for gaming and the smaller is placed nicely for bedtime watchings.Taekwon-joe wrote:The 6 screen setup is just stupid. Cant see cross hairs... duh!

Thing is though one is 22" and the other 19" so if I wanted to spread my gaming screen I'd need to get 2 more instead of just the 1...
Might do it eventually down the line.

Unless you're playing games which actively support multiple screens (like flight sims for instance), I don't see the point of multiple screens for gaming

Can be very handy while in game to have steam friends, messenger of choice, mumble, browser or whatever open and viewable on the second screen. It's kinda like Alt+Tabbing without having to minimise the game.
It's a little annoying though that I have to disable one to make use of crossfire but I guess I don't really need the extra juice for anything atm. I'm getting over 100 fps on anything I've thrown at it while still using the two screens.
Also it's a bitch to have to move my icons back to the second screen after disabling it so that's another reason not to bother.

it's the cost of surgically implanting additional eyes so I can see all the different screens at the same time that puts me off
Re: ATIs simple yet very convincing sell for multi screen gaming
Well, im really enthused about this... Gonna see if i can fit it in my system (and on my table
)

I had this problem too but I solved it with profiles. I have a 40" TV and a 22" monitor. So I made the following profiles:
Both
TVONLY
MonitorOnly
Now there is only one knack to it. Activating either the TV or monitor is done by selecting it's profile. To go back to Both from the TV you have to first go back to Monitor (making the desktop icons place correctly) then goto Both.
I flew a flight sim for nearly 4 years and this came up more than once. A three screen setup with reticle in the middle was obviously the best but when you couple it with one of these:
You Tube Direct Link
All you get is a big pile of motion sickness puke!
