The finale was like someone stabbing me in the heart, then asking me why I'm bleeding.

Ah that was cool in the last episode though, where he was in the bar talking to god.BBloke wrote:There are only a few shows that legitimately get to the end but the best I've seen was BSG. Nice little twist and far better than continuing on and on and on with the same stories.
Lost just made 3 years of the show seem quite irrelevant as Lazy said. The premis of the show had nothing to do with it persay and there in lies the problem for me. I remember Quantum Leap from the 80's and it's premis was the show and the journey Sam took... oh hum!
God basically asks Sam, what did you build the time machine for?
Sam said, to help right what once went wrong, and god replied that that's exactly what he was getting to do. Sam agreed and then kept on leaping, never to retunr home.,
Man, I fucking loved Quantum Leap, great show!

Seconded. And it was nice to see Al making the leap from oddball good guy to scarily sinister toaster.LazyEagle wrote:

I did enjoy it, but couldn't help feel very let down by the whole off island story (non) resoloution. as Lazy put it, What the hell was the point of the explosion at the end of the 5th season, if the 'alternate reality' it created didn't actually exist. Basically the sixth season should have started with us finding out that whole bloody thing was a waste of time.
Quantum Leap never let me down. Remember that fantastic JFK episode, wherre he jumped about three times.
Oh Boy!!!

I <3 Quantum Leap, but I can't remember any episodes. You must have an amazing memory Bosco.

The episodes were great from a production and acting point of view.dreamachine wrote:so im the only 1 that actually liked the end of the L O S T ?

There were some awesome episodes. I remember the "haunted house2 one from an early season. The Evil Leaper made a couple of appearances and there was one where Al and Sam switched places. Of course JFK one was gripping stuff.
Re: Thoughts on the LOST finale?
Man, that haunted house episode freaked me out as a kid!
Especially the bit near the end where Sam and the Devil had their hands around each others necks and they were spinning around. the devil changed to Al and then even a goat as they were spinning around.
Probably looks ridiculous to audiences now though, especially when the goat bleets at Sam!

I loved the ending. I thought it was appropriate, thoughtful, and very powerful (especially when you watch it more than once).dreamachine wrote:so im the only 1 that actually liked the end of the L O S T ?
