Ty Renax that video seems to have summed things up nicely. So basically the first few seasons was just a load of stuff that happened before the actual meat-and-potatoes of the plot began. Right?
The thing is that to me it sounds like a really good story. I only wish it didn't go on for so long.

Yeah, there was a few major story lines that were completely pointless.
If Lost had been half the length, I reckon it could have been one of the best pieces of television ever. That being said, I'm glad I stuck with it.

Re: Thoughts on the LOST finale?
I started to watch it from the beginning after a very high recommendation from a good friend. I start watching about 3 weeks ago, and have already seen up to season 3 episode 17 -- I just finished a 10 episode marathon today, my head hurts but it was worth it.
I have to say I've been disappointed with the first 10 or so episodes of season 3, you can tell that most of the stuff that happened in season 3 was not in the original plot (added by ABC to make the series longer and make more money) because it's so boring.
Apart from that I'm very much enjoying it and can't wait to see the ending although I know full well if I watched it right now I wouldn't have any clue what's happening as I STILL haven't met Jacob (I've heard his name twice so far and have been told a lot by the friend I mentioned above).

The Game.

It gets going again pretty quickly Hitman and it's great from there. They just fuck up the penultimate and last episodes!
Re: Thoughts on the LOST finale?
I've now watched every episode of every season of this show - twice, and I still don't know what the fuck is going on.
Finale was pretty good, but, like most of the other episodes, it left more questions than answers, answers we're likely never going to get :/

Twice zipscool?
121 episodes, twice at 42 mins each = 169.4 hours
How does your brain still function!? Mine would be truely melted after all that.

Re: Thoughts on the LOST finale?
I love to have TV marathons but the show has to be right. LOST started out with such promises but I would be gutted if I'd have spent whole weekends watching it to get the ending they made....
I remember 24 in its early days. They had a reasonable ending that made sense to the story. LOST is just bumbken. At least I'll always have Babylon 5
