I came to Fester´s Place when visiting 8er and him and another dude of ours used to play that weird comic game. At this time totally hilarious stuff for me cos I actually swore a lifelong love to CoD 2. However - when the G**O and U**S been full he showed me a different server, where ppl actually rly talked - and it didn´t even make sense in most of the cases tho we understood what it was about
Whenever I visited 8er now and then he suggested to play some TF2 and I said "Yeah but on the server with this James or Jason dude on. The one were they all chattin all the time and you don´t have respawn time." When I moved into this shared flat here I got myself -as it was the 1st time of havin my own internet anyways- a copy of the Orange box and directly connected onto this heavenly server called Fester´s Place. The rest is history. It used to be the times when we played avanti_b1 like once each 3 hrs and we were forced to play 2fort for the millionsth time cos of some strange gibberish dude calin "Stabby-stabby" all the time.
Not even talkin bout the Forums and how helpful it can be to know so many ppl from around all over Europe and even all over the world I fell for this place and decided to let it be my secondary (virtual) home. Thanks to everyone in this community for being so great and especially for being who and how you are.

Fester's Place is the dysfunctional family, that I would happily choose time and time again.

I found the server within a few weeks and was sucked in by the awsome characters on the server. I played like mad for a few months and played as the usual, like engie or heavy before my computer died and i had 6 months without one ( the horror! ).
When I came back i played a bit but then got distracted by BC2. But BC2 was full of normal people wihout mikes and aside from playing with some IRL friends it was no fun.

So I returned to festers and thought to myself 'hey these snipers are killing me a lot, if i could cloak i could hide from them'. And so i began playing spy. And after some time i worked out that not only could i hide from snipers like coco I could also piss people like anubis or Jeffer off by backstabbing them. A

Although ive played other games inbetween none have equaled tf2 simply because there's no community like festers.
The server is probably the only reason why ive played for 400 hours on a game that while good is still a mere game.

I think my 60 days on the server shows how much fun is to be had here!:D
I know I'm not the most chatty on the server,have rarely used a mic but the community here is like no other I've seen before.So many people from diff backgrounds/lifestyles all brought together with a mutual love of blowing the shite out of eachother.All the variety of characters on the server has brought me back again and again.Much respect to the lot of ye!

i may be a new(ish)comer, been playing on the server for over a year, and on the forums less.. i started off playing tf2 when i got the orange box and had finished half life 2, then i thought hmm what is this tf2 thing? so i tried it.. (the first online game i had properly played) but while i enjoyed tf2 as a game it didn't become complete until i found festers place.. now i rarely play anything else because no other game i have found has the same selection of awesome characters in one place.. its not just leet speak and owning.. its bullshit and drinking, smoking and everything else.. its a real community which isn't just about a game, its about laughs and helping each other and supporting each other i'm starting to sound a bit hippy but i love this place..

it took quite awhile but i bought a mic.. solely for the purpose of playing on festers.. i'm quite shy in real life but everyone was so friendly that they made me feel at home

which brings me to the friday night mashup.. i have started putting off going out in real life bcos it's not as fun as fester's on a friday night.. i can either strain to hear someone in a crowded bar while waiting ages for an overpriced drink or go on festers and join in with people who are friendly and just want to have fun..

in fact i'm so infatuated by this place that i had a dream that i was meeting people last night lots of you were there but i ended up cleaning dishes for some reason.. dreams are weird..

It was last spring that I started playing on Festers. I think it was T who told me about this server. After I started playing here I didn't play anywhere else. I was amazed how friendly and tight (heheh) the community was. I made lots of friends and now even if I'm on a break from TF2 every day I hop on the Mumble server for a chat with great people like Crimson, Masarath, Anubis, Knails, Quintus, Dragoon, Terbulus and all others. Then we all go for a game on League of Legends, L4D, Alien Swarm, Minecraft, Strip Poker (*cough cough*) and so on. =D I'm thankful to all of them, to all those I played TF2 with, to Coco my jedi master, who taught me about the force... Ehm sniping, that is. =D And I'm thankful to Fester and 'the lads' without whom this great community wouldn't be. Fester's Place has really become a part of my life. So yeah, ya got my love, Fester. =) <3
