Second sight is worth a run through, sort of third person shooter/adventure psychic sci-fi thriller.

The already-mentioned Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is also similar to TF2, I played it a lot before getting to know the latter. :)

America's Army is rather an instructional software than a game, but it was fun trying.

And now this is my addition to the collection:

BZFlag

(Simple game for the simple minded.)

Edit: A few years ago I played a cool 3D version of the old Windows 3.1 game called Bang! Bang!, you know, in where you fire missiles with a tank and you tell the angle and velocity and the direction. It was AFAIK a free game, but I don't remember its name. If someone knows, let me know. As an additional info, you had a number of choices of weapons to fire (one was better than the other).

aaah scorched earth, a great old game. Why tho, did it have to go 3d?

some things should stay in 2d.

worms, lemmings, micromachines, sonic...scorched earth! better without that hypothetical Z-axis that Prof. Frink spoke of

Lemmings! Brilliant, I've lost countless hours to that game in the past. Got it on my phone atm as well :D

Do any of you remember "Push Over"? It was a game involving dominoes out around the time of lemmings. It featured Colin the cartoon character from quavers of old.

ah yes, back in the 90s, when if you were a cartoon character on an ad, you always got your own game.

Hell, I even remember a decent little platformer on the Megadrive(Sega Genesis for you yankeedoodles) where you played the red dot fromt he 7-up bottle!
