So much hypocrisy surrounding these debates. protect your child from violent video games, films & etc. Yet let them soak up the bullshit from MSM or let them drink from poisoned water supplies containing fluoride & god knows what else. These are the kind who will have their child first in line for some vaccine without knowing the ins and outs :x

While I am actually willing to agree and say I don't think 9-11 year olds should be playing GTA, CoD or the like (at least wait until they're a little older), that video Hobbit posted holds no merit whatsoever, being from Fox-I-love-l-my-country-more-than-my-ability-to-breath-News who would jump the gun faster than you can say "Palin 2012".

As one of the younger members of the forum, who grew up around the internet boom, I learned about a lot of horrible, life scaring, de-sensitizing terrors on the internet, and at a questionably early age compared to how lads would have learned two or three decades ago, but if anything it's made me revolt against violence/jackass-shock-videos/internet-bullying. My parents kept me in tow whenever I stepped too far out of line, and always reminded me of the value of good morals (albeit, this topic isn't fool proof, it's something I've had personal issues with, although I think what my parents did was right).

The fact of the matter is though, there are simply a lot of very bad parents out there, who wouldn't know Call of Duty from Mario, and run on the assumption of "It's just a game".

On the same subject, I know of more than a few lads around my age who have essentially turned themselves from decent kid into future waaaaaaaayyyster (duuuuude!) from spending too long in the deep end. Most of whom had parents who were ignorant of what the internet "and this 'technology' thing" holds.

That whole debate is flawed, the game's a 15 +. These are teenagers categorized as young adults, they have had their fair share of main stream media etc... desensitizing them to violence, porn. What's their point, wrapping them in cotton wall up until their adults. Give them another couple of years and they can sign up to fight the taliban, What about the children who witnessed the brutality of WW2 & other conflicts. I do believe in parental controls for children but why are these guys debating over a 15+ for a little bit of nudity & shoot em up violence, pretty pathetic tbf
I think their looking at the wrong scapegoat, maybe they should go debate over the supposed "role" models  who pollute our newspaper's, tv's and god knows where else, conditioning the younger generation with their bullshit.

What are these morons pushing for ? taking some more of their rights away, silly people.

Hear, hear!

There are more young people looking up to those in the media then there are "impressionable young males" playing these "sexually explicit, violent" games. How many cases of bulimia, depression, suicide, stupidity, bullying, peer pressured promiscuity and general brain rot from a purely conventional media origin are there worldwide?

Does that mean you were talking about the news readers, researchers and executives then and not the larger world of celebrity idolisation?

There's no perfect parental control, sometimes sexual content comes from where you would least expect them... this vid ain't the best example though:

Too right mate! This shit is still in irish water supplies. a bi-product of making aluminum in water. I mean ffs! But reverse osmosis water filters are expensive. Poisoning myself/making me stupid and docile with every cup of coffee :(

@Angry! Great vid dude! Laughed my ass off! Gotta try that. Would u object to a cleavage toting spray for this purpose dharma? I'm sure it wouldn't be long before ppl figured what i was at FP anyways!
